Painted Coins - October 1st

Crystal City rejoice. Manny and his painted coins returns Wednesday, October 1st.

Hand-painting coins is a very old art form. In painstaking fashion, the artist, Manny Zeevi, applies color initially to outline the design, followed by high tempered firing process. The firing process is repeated after each color is applied. The hand-painting process for each piece varies, some taking as long as two days to complete! No wonder these coins are stunning.Manny hand-paints coins from around the world and crafts them into cufflinks, golf markets, earrings, belt buckles and more.

Manny has TONS of designs to choose from, from countries all over the world. Hope to see you at SPARKET this Wednesday.

Tunisian Touch is a family owned and operated business with roots in North Africa, Tunisia, which is situated on the beautiful Mediterranean coast.  They visit the most talented artisans there, searching for fine hand-crafted home accents to share.

Dennis Crayon - Tomorrow!

Looking for some interesting and original artwork for your office or home? Look no further than Crystal City's own, Dennis Crayon.

Dennis works in oils on canvas and panels, using color and position to convey contemporary composition combined with a classical painting technique. Each his paintings features extreme attention to detail, especially the effect of light as it hits objects.

An active member of Washington, D.C.’s artistic community, Dennis' artwork has been shown locally at Gallery West, Spectrum Gallery, Light Street Gallery, and the Art League of Virginia.

Now, it's your chance to own one of his originals. Dennis will exhibit tomorrow from 11-2 at SPARKET.
