Sparket Coming to Crystal City | |
SPARKET - A Creative Market, a weekly arts market in Crystal City, Virginia, as a seasonal event; Spring SPARKET and Fall SPARKET. Now in its fourth season SPARKET, will now operate on Thursdays in conjunction with a featured food truck event. The Spring SPARKET will launch May 4 and run through June 29. And Fall SPARKET will run from September 7 through November 16. Hours are from 11am to 2pm.
Situated on the wide shaded sidewalk on the 1800 block of Crystal Drive, the market is adjacent to the Crystal Shops mall, several popular restaurants and retail establishments. Crystal City Metro is 2 blocks away and there is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and hotels.
The market is a collaborative effort with the Crystal City BID. Crystal City, Arlington's largest downtown, boasts excellent demographics.
A diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty and other local and handcrafted products are desired. As an additional draw, live-music will be part of the programming mix.
For exhibitors convenient and free adjacent loading and parking for the market as well as an affordable $30 space fee are among the markets' considerable amenities. The market will be managed onsite by "Rudy" Coates and vendor relations and booking by Jessica Blaszczak, who is best known in Arlington as the long-time Market Manager of the Ballston Art Market.
